About
For the past 29 years I’ve been an executive leader, development director, and consultant for nonprofits, documentaries, and theatre projects.
I’m a very strategic thinker. I can see patterns where others simply see complexity. Mindful of these patterns, I then play out alternative scenarios, always asking, “What if this happened? Okay, well what if this happened?” This recurring question helps me see around the next corner.
As a result, one of my specialties is taking an idea and turning it into a successful series of action steps and positive outcomes. Whether it’s an event, documentary, film, capital campaign, major project or major gift request, I have the skills and experience to make it happen.
You can find out more about my work on the other two pages. Consulting: where I outline the specific work I do with nonprofits. Productions: my work as a film and video producer, director, writer, photographer, and editor.
The best way to reach me is via email: myers.bowman (at) gmail.com.

I just heard from our local AFS team that for some reason you were in San Diego. Really?
Yep. I’ve been there several times the past few months. Actually, we’re moving to San Diego this summer! Karen is starting a new job at SDSU in August and I’m getting ready to announce on Tuesday what I’ll be doing. Are you in San Diego, I assume?
Yep. Active member of SD AFS team. I checked with Cynthia and she said she had dinner with you. Small world.
Brilliant stuff here! Hello, and thank you for dropping by my blog and liking my pages – very much appreciated! All the best, Michael
Thanks Michael. I also really enjoy your photos. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for following my blog and liking a few posts. You seem to be a talented and interesting guy so I will be following you and the fox that runs through your backyard!
Your welcome. It’s actually a coyote in the photo, but we do have foxes too. 🙂

WE would love to see the film..
