Wisconsin Trip, Day 1

Wisconsin Post: Day 1, 7:30 a.m.

It’s a quiet group on the bus of residents and staff from Meadowlark Hills as we travel down Interstate 70 headed to Springfield, Illinois, the first stop on our journey to Wisconsin for the week. The most amazing so far: we left on time. As we pulled out of the Meadowlark Hills driveway, I looked at my watch and it read 7:01 a.m.

Also on the trip are Willie, Becky and Tamara plus 36 residents and Passport members. I’m hoping to post updates at least everyday so you can follow along, see some of the beautiful places we’ll be visiting, and feel a little envious of all the fun we’re having.

Major frustration: the bus doesn’t have wifi. Or coffee. Isn’t this 2011? At the very least, I’m hoping that multiple bio-breaks are built in to the travel itinerary.
