My Father’s Hero Update
ByHere’s a short update on the progress of our movie project: My Father’s Hero. After a busy couple of weeks (Florida, Disney, etc), I’m back at it before things get really crazy later this month.
We had a great weekend with JT and Spencer back in November and, honestly, I can’t imagine how it could have gone any better. JT said afterward: “THANKS a hundred times for the wonderful weekend in Manhattan. Great events, lovely people, very exciting. Spencer was just jazzed.”
The theatre performances at MHS and K-State, unplanned tours of the Beach Museum and Strecker-Nelson Gallery, dinner at Harry’s, conversations with students, and the reception at Bluestem Bistro were all highlights for them AND for me. I’m very proud of my community and couldn’t be more excited about producing an independent film here.
As far as the script is concerned, JT visited Spencer this past weekend in LA to continue working on it. I’m hopeful to have more pages to show you next month.
In the meantime, I’m still working on finding people interested in helping make the film a reality. We already have commitments from two investors and I’m hoping several more are in place by this time next month. I’m thinking of bringing JT back for another weekend in January since he’s so passionate about the project. Would you like that?
Eventually, I hope to have a Facebook page and Twitter account for the movie and you can follow our progress that way. For now, I’ll try and touch base every couple of weeks. If you ever have any questions or suggestions, don’t hesitate to give me a ring or drop me a message.
All the best,
Clay
